Answer: The Band From TV - a celebrity cover band that doesn’t just rock, it supports 9 charities including Save the Children and National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
Greg Grunberg started the group to raise money for the Pediatric Epilepsy Foundation, a cause close to his heart as his own son suffers from epilepsy. Each additional celebrity brought their own charity along with their musical talents.
“Having band mates who also happen to be in some of the most popular shows on television creates an amazing opportunity to really reach out to our fans to help support these wonderful causes,” Grunberg said.
Their latest project is a 13 track CD/DVD titled “Hoggin’ All the Covers.” The live release will benefit each celebrity’s charity and features covers of “Piece of my Heart,” “Mustang Sally,” and more. Pick up your copy on Amazon.com or the band’s website on October 26.
